This Thanksgiving brought wonderful news with it for Midland singer Mark Wystrach and his wife, Ty Haney. The duo welcomed their first child and have named their baby girl Sundance “Sunny” Leon Haney-Wystrach.
Outdoor Voices founder and CEO Ty Haney wrote on Instagram, “Sundance ‘Sunny’ Leon came into this world with a bang! It’s been a wild and unexpected week in the hospital, but we are all doing great and loving being together!”
She also thanked the “amazing doctors and nurses” for their care, as well as their friends and family for their constant support, love, and prayers. Clearly, this new mom believes in the power of love and positivity!

In the caption of the aforementioned Instagram post, she added, “Lil Baby Sunny is strong, beautiful and an absolute joy! We’ve gotten a clean bill of health and we’re going home tomorrow. Yeehaw! The adventure has begun!!!”
Because of undisclosed medical complications, the couple had to spend a week in the hospital after their baby’s arrival. This meant that Wystrach needed to be home with his family. Thus, Midland’s label Big Machine announced on social media this past Friday that they were forced to postpone their UK tour. This included dates in early December for sets ing Manchester, Birmingham, Sheffield, and London, England. Nothing further has been revealed about the complication.
This past July, when the couple confirmed the pregnancy news to PEOPLE, the would-be father shared his emotions saying they were “thrilled and terrified (haha) to go through this beautiful, life-changing experience and start a little beautiful family together.”
Funnily enough, Wystrach and his twin brother Mike were expecting daughters around the same time. Needless to say, there’s something real about the thing called “timing!”
The 39-year-old laughed, “The fact that we are both having baby girls within three weeks of each other, both getting engaged, both getting married, all at the same time — it’s pretty amazing.”
In another interview from earlier this month during the 2019 CMA Awards red carpet, the Drinkin’ Problem singer expressed his emotions as a first-time dad. He explained that he was eagerly looking forward to spending quality time with his daughter and wanted to cherish and every moment.
Wystrach continued, “I can’t wait to look through my daughter’s eyes in this world, and I think that’s really what’s going to be the big transformation. And you know, you gotta trust the timing of your life.”
He believes that though he has “done a pretty good job of walking the line,” preparing to face a little daughter was not an easy one.
“Getting ready to have a little daughter to really get you to face your shortcomings and make sure you’re the man you want your daughter to meet,” the excited father added.
