Northeast Alabama Community College will host the Mustang Community Resource Fair on Tues., Oct. 22 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the academic quad.
Community agencies from across Jackson and DeKalb counties will come together to share helpful information with students, faculty, staff and community members.
This event promotes awareness of the many services that are available in the community, including food services, clothing resources, housing and shelter, childcare, healthcare, counseling services, senior care, crisis and emergency services, transportation, education and employment.
The Mustang Community Resource Fair is a free event for NACC students and community members.
Tables are set up outside on the quad, and agency representatives share information with students and community members that stop by. At about Noon, a free hotdog lunch is available to all attendees.
“The laid back community cookout atmosphere provides a wonderful opportunity to come together and share information that can help the people in our service area,” said NACC President Dr. David Campbell.
“This event enables our students and community members to become more informed citizens so we can help one another, but it also provides an opportunity for community service agencies to network with other agencies,” said Campbell.
If you work with a community service agency and would like to participate in the Mustang Community Resource Fair, please contact Juliah Sanford at firstname.lastname@example.org or (256) 638-4418, Ext. 2257. All community members and NACC students are welcome to attend.
